Join Team vindman

The Office of Congressman Eugene Vindman is pleased to offer internships during three sessions of the calendar year: Spring (January – May), Summer (June – August), and Fall (September – December).
 

Washington, D.C. Office

Interns in Congressman Vindman’s Washington, D.C. office will learn critical professional development skills that will enable them to develop a deep understanding of the legislative processes on Capitol Hill. Tasks for an intern include but are not limited to:

 

  • Assisting in legislative research for the Congressman and staff
  • Helping with entering data into our correspondence tracking systems
  • Attending briefings for staff and writing memos on those briefings
  • Aiding the communications team with projects as needed
  • Answering messages from constituents on phones
  • Processing flag and tour requests

Priority will be given to those with ties to Virginia’s Seventh Congressional district, but individuals from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. We accept applications from candidates who are currently pursuing their undergraduate or graduate degrees as well as recent graduates.

Frederickburg Office

Interns in Congressman Eugene Vindman’s Fredericksburg district office will gain hands-on experience supporting the day-to-day operations of a Congressional District Office. They will learn skills to bolster their professional development and experiences to grow their understanding of a U.S. Congressman’s duties and position in government.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Answering messages from constituents on the phone
  • Assisting staff in day-to-day clerical needs around the office
  • Attending outreach events with the Congressman’s district staff
  • Assisting the Congressman’s casework staff with casework requests
  • Assisting in staffing of Community Events hosted by the Congressman

This position would be an in-person internship in the Congressman’s Fredericksburg office, located in Downtown Fredericksburg.

Priority will be given to those with ties to Virginia’s Seventh Congressional district, but individuals from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. We accept applications from candidates who are currently pursuing their undergraduate or graduate degrees as well as recent graduates.
