Tours and Tickets

My office can provide tickets to Washington, D.C. buildings and attractions to residents of Virginia’s Seventh District. All tickets are free and are provided to constituents on a first-come, first-served basis.

U.S. Capitol

U.S. Capitol tours are available to the general public Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Tours will be booked 20 minutes or 50 minutes after the hour.

Advance reservations are required for all tour participants. Please note that school groups cannot exceed 50 persons and all other groups are limited to 15 persons. Capitol Visitor Services will also accept reservations and constituents are now able to reserve their own tours directly through the CVC. White House

The White House will reopen public tours on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Public tours will be available Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM and on Fridays and Saturdays from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Please note that the White House may change or cancel tours at any time, with little notice, due to inclement weather or scheduling conflicts, even after a tour is confirmed.

Public tour requests must be submitted a minimum of 7 days in advance and no more than 90 days in advance of the requested tour date(s). Reservations cannot be accepted for tour dates outside this 7-90 day window. Tours are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

If you are visiting from a foreign nation, please contact your country’s embassy in Washington, D.C. to schedule a tour.

PLEASE NOTE: If your preferred tour date is available, you will receive an email from the White House to RSVP for each guest attending the tour. You will be given a deadline of 3 days to submit everyone’s information for a background check. Security information for all guests must be provided by the RSVP deadline or the remaining spaces will be released and may not be rescheduled for the originally requested date(s).

FBI Headquarters

The FBI Experience is a 90-minute, self-guided walking tour Monday through Friday at 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 2:00 PM. There will be a limit of 10 people per tour, and tours must be scheduled no later than four weeks in advance of your desired visit date.

Treasury Building

Guided Tours of the Treasury Building require advance reservations. Some highlights of the tour are the Salmon ChaseAndrew Johnson Suites, and the Cash Room. Contact my office to request a tour of the Treasury Building.

Other Popular Attractions in and around Washington, D.C.

The following attractions do not require you to request tours through my office:

 

Pentagon

Located in Arlington, Virginia, the Pentagon serves as the headquarters of the Department of Defense and is one of the world’s largest office buildings. Tours of the Pentagon are available on a limited basis for U.S. citizens on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. You can find more information on their website here.

 

Washington Monument

The Washington Monument is open seven days a week from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Ticket reservations are available online here.

 

National Archives Museum

The National Archives Museum is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required for individuals or groups wishing to enter the National Archives Museum through the General Public Entrance, but reservations are strongly encouraged between March and Labor Day to avoid long lines outside. Library of Congress

The Library of Congress is free and open to the public with timed entry passes available on their website here.

 

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing

Located in the heart of the Nation’s Capital, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s Tour and Visitor Center at the Washington, D.C. facility is a great place to learn all about U.S. paper currency. The Bureau’s Tour and Visitor Center is free of charge to all visitors. You can find more information about visiting the Bureau of Engraving and Printing here.

    Your Information

    Constituents who are hard of hearing or use a video phone have the option to choose TDD or VP based on the type of device they are using. This allows our office to respond to them accordingly. The default option 'Voice' is a standard audible telephone.

    Tour Information

    Please choose three dates everyone in your party is available to tour the White House. Tours are available Tuesday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and Friday and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The tours are self-guided.
    White House tours may be submitted up to 6 months in advance, but no later than 3 weeks before the requested tour date.
    Each person in your tour party must submit security information to the White House via a link they provide.
