Washington, D.C. — On Tuesday, September 23, the Office of Congressman Eugene Vindman (Va-07) hosted a Federal Workforce Job & Resource Fair at Forest Park High School in Woodbridge. The event brought together nearly 50 hiring employers and resource providers and drew more than 1,000 job seekers from across Virginia’s Seventh District.
“Virginia’s federal workforce is the backbone of our communities,” said Vindman. “In a time when too many families are facing uncertainty due to DOGE cuts and mass firings, I’m proud that we were able to connect more than a thousand job seekers with nearly 50 employers and resource partners. Events like this highlight the strength of Virginia’s federal workers and the resilience of our Commonwealth.”

The City of Fredericksburg was among the many employers who participated in the fair, recruiting new talent and connecting directly with local residents.
The fair connected current and former federal employees, contractors, veterans, and local job seekers with agencies, resources, and private-sector employers. In addition to on-site hiring opportunities, attendees had access to free professional development services including:
- Financial planning sessions
- Résumé review workshops
- Professional headshots
- Mental health breakout sessions
Participating employers and agencies represented a wide range of fields — including government, education, law enforcement, technology, health, and transportation. Local chambers of commerce, nonprofits, and resource organizations were also on hand to provide career guidance and support.
