Washington, D.C. – U.S. RepresentativeEugene Vindman (Va.-07) today invited high school students from Virginia’s Seventh Congressional District to participate in the 2026 Congressional Art Competition.

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in each congressional district. Winning pieces are displayed in the U.S. Capitol and on the official Congressional Art Competition page for one year.

“Virginia’s Seventh District is home to incredibly talented young artists, and the annual Congressional Art Competition is a wonderful opportunity for local students to showcase their creativity on a national stage,” said Vindman. “I encourage every student who goes to high school in the Seventh District to participate and share their work. You never know, your piece could end up displayed in the U.S. Capitol!”

Students can submit paintings, drawings, collages, prints, mixed media, computer-generated art, and photography for consideration. Submissions are due to my Woodbridge or Fredericksburg District Office by 5:00pm on Friday, April 17.

You can learn more about the competition on the Congressman’s website
