Washington, D.C. — Congressman Eugene Vindman (Va.-07) today celebrated that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded $3,175,172 to Stafford County to support local Head Start programs, which provides early childhood education, nutrition, and family support services to low-income families.

“Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed, regardless of their family’s income or zip code,” said Vindman. “This $3.2 million investment in Stafford County’s Head Start programs will help ensure more children have access to high-quality early childhood education, nutritious meals, and the support services that strengthen families and improve long-term outcomes for our kids.”

Head Start programs provide comprehensive early childhood education, nutrition, health, and family support services to children and families, helping prepare young learners for kindergarten and long-term academic success.

Vindman emphasized the importance of continuing to invest in programs that support working families and expand educational opportunities for children in Virginia’s Seventh District.
