Woodbridge, Va. – Today, Congressman Eugene Vindman (Va.-07) released the following statement after monitoring the developing situation of a devastating car crash on I-95.

“My thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives, the injured, and everyone impacted by this morning’s terrible crash on I-95.

“As a daily commuter and a former slug line rider on I-95, I know we need safer, more reliable infrastructure. My office has been in touch with the NTSB, and I look forward to working with them and others in Virginia to understand what happened and prevent it in the future.

“I visited Stafford Fire and Rescue less than two weeks ago during public service week. They are dedicated public servants and lifesavers. I’m committed to supporting and providing them what they need to do their jobs. I am grateful to Stafford and Prince William County first responders and Quantico Fire and Emergency Services who were all on the scene. We can and must make I-95 safer for every single commuter.”
