Vindman Announces More Than $1 MILLION in Federal Funding to Strengthen Head Start Programs in Orange County

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Eugene Vindman (Va.-07) today celebrated that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded $1,788,958 to Orange County Public Schools to support local Head Start programs, which provides early childhood education, nutrition, and family support services to low-income families.

“As a dad, I know how important it is to give every child the opportunity to succeed,” said Vindman. “I’m proud to have helped secure this funding to expand access to Head Start and ensure more children have the strong foundation they need to reach their full potential.”

Head Start programs provide comprehensive early childhood education, nutrition, health, and family support services to children and families, helping prepare young learners for kindergarten and long-term academic success.

Vindman emphasized the importance of continuing to invest in programs that support working families and expand educational opportunities for children in Virginia’s Seventh District.
