“Virginians know that federal workers are the backbone of our economy and our government. With tens of thousands of federal workers and contractors in Virginia’s Seventh District, I am proud to vote to keep the government open.
“As a founding member of the bicameral Federal Workforce Caucus and husband of a former federal employee, I know that federal workers are essential to the success, safety, and stability of our nation.
“I will continue working across the aisle to deliver a budget that funds the government responsibly, aligns with our values, and tackles the out-of-control corruption we are seeing in Washington.”
