Vindman Votes to Hold Trump Accountable

Sep 15, 2026 | Congress, Press Releases

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Eugene Vindman (Va.-07) released the following statement after voting against the motion to table H.Res.1486 and consider impeachment for President Trump.

“Under this administration, ICE has been the subject of serious allegations concerning the use of force, transparency, and accountability. Renée Good, Alex Pretti, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, and Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero lost their lives in encounters involving federal immigration enforcement. They should still be here with us today.

“President Trump is the most corrupt public official in our nation’s history. I was proud to vote to hold him accountable today, but it should be no surprise that rubberstamp Republicans fell in line and let him off the hook, shirking their responsibility to the American people.

“President Trump will answer for the lives of these innocent civilians who were taken too soon.”
